CDXZipStream Basics -How to Deactivate a CDXZipStream Installation

We frequently receive requests to remove computers from a user's activation list. Each CDXZipStream license allows installation on one primary and one backup computer per user. Once both activations are used, you cannot register additional computers unless one is deactivated.

Before requesting manual removal, please attempt to deactivate existing installations through the CDXZipStream software:

 

  1. Open Excel and go to the CDXZipStream menu.
  2. Click Account, then Register/Upgrade.
  3. Select "Deactivate This Computer" at the bottom of the dialog.

 

You'll then be prompted to enter your account username and password. Our activation servers will verify the information and remove the computer from your activation list, allowing you to register a new one. There is no limit on how often you can do this, but you must comply with the CDXZipStream license terms.

If you no longer have physical access to a computer, you can request manual removal by emailing us the computer name and confirming that the installation is no longer in use.

 

  • Active Data Maintenance Subscribers: We will manually remove the computer for you once per maintenance period.
  • Non-Subscribers: Without an active maintenance contract, you will not be able to download zip code updates and have full access to the latest features..
